INDIAN HIGH COM VISIT COINCIDES WITH 10TH ANNIVERSASRY OF DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS
 
India's newly appointed High Commissioner to the Cook Islands His Excellency Prabhakara Jha arrives in the country tonite.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Protocol Services' Tukaka Ama, His Excellency will be introduced to the newly appointed Secretary to the Ministry Mike Mitchell tomorrow morning before travelling to Titikaveka to meet His Excellency the Queens Representative, Sir Frederick Goodwin, at Government House.

Tomorrow afternoon he will meet with the Prime Minister Jim Marurai as well as Foreign Affairs and Immigration Minister Wilkie Rasmussen.

He will also pay a courtesy call on other members of Government before returning to Suva, Fiji, where he is based, on Saturday.

His Excellency's visit to the Cook Islands coincides with the 10th Anniversary of diplomatic relations established between the two nations in 1998.
