Foreign Minister and New Zealand First Leader Winston Peters has confirmed that member of his party MP Brian Donnelly will be the next High Commissioner to the Cook Islands and replaces John Bryan.
Donnelly who has experience in the Cook Islands will take up his post at the end of the month.
He worked here in the late 70s, represented the country in rugby and has two adopted Cook Islands children.
