The Deputy Prime Minister Sir Terepai Maoate take leave from office as of tomorrow Wednesday 30th January for holiday in Los Angeles with Lady Maoate.
According to a press release from his office today, the private holiday is a gift from Sir Terepai to Lady Maoate who turned 70 last weekend. They have been married for 49 years.
Minister Tangata Vavia will assume responsibility for Sir Terepai's portfolios and as Acting Prime Minister.
Sir Terepai and Lady Maoate return home on 8 February.
